It's out on Google Music for Aussies as it is already the 4th here

I actually really like how unlike Gilmour this is, the vocal style is just great.
Nice guitar work too, really rocking at times.

I'm guessing it will only work for Aussie and New Zealanders for now thanks to time zones.
Track is 5:55

My Dad said it was played on Radio 2 when he was driving.
I can't find it anywhere

The new single has Phil Manzanera written all over it...

I really like it. I flicked through the Simon Mayo show on the BBC iPlayer and thought he was playing a Bryan Ferry song for an instant.
It reminds me of Ferry/Bowie/Japan. Great fretless bassline, must be Guy Pratt or DG on bass.

Has a life of its own; I like it. Different from anything on OAI (not that I didn't love OAI).

Has this song been sent forward from 1984?
Feels like it could have fit on About Face. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
The solo is pretty great though, feels like the solo from Young Lust.

Was thinking the same thing! So far RTL seems to have reverted back to the 80's. Only the teaser for 5am has had that Real Gilmour feel to it. I enjoyed the video for this though. Fun to see David rockin out!
Hmm Young Lust - still on my "Gilmour Dream Setlist"!!

Sorry I watched the making of Today. I tried to paste & copy it but I couldn't. That's why I said it was fun to watch David rocking out in the video.

OK, here's the full version:

I love how that intro is completely different that the rest of the song and I'm starting to really enjoy how different this album is apparently going to be from everything he's done in the last 20 years or so. It certainly harks back to 'About Face' but it's not that cheesy, which is a good thing. I also like how he's not trying to make something that could have been recorded by Floyd, like he did on OAI.
I'm looking forward to this album even more now. But I'm starting to really hate the fact I'm going to miss his tour this time.

Absolutely terrible song. Manzanera has destroyed Gilmour, IMHO.
Clean, session musician/generic studio sound which plagued AMLOR, TER, and now this.
