I asked if he had some kind of special love for the country or playing there and releasing live albums from there.

Exactly! Tickets are between GBP 20.00 and GBP 35.00. and it is just a small square, not a stadium. He is hardly doing it for the money.
If it's on telly, then there are zlotys to be gained.

David Gilmour announces further 11 European concerts

Written by Matt
Tuesday, 02 February 2016

This morning, an additional 11 concerts were announced by David Gilmour as part of his 2016 Rattle That Lock tour, all taking place in mainland Europe.

As we've come to expect from David, some of the venues have come very much as a surprise, either in terms of location or the venue itself. Some of the venues look wonderful and should prove memorable places to see the show.

Tickets for the newly announced shows, as well as the Stuttgart show which was revealed yesterday, go on sale at 10am CET (Central European Time) on Friday (February 5th). Full information including the relevant links to the ticket agencies, as well as (in some cases) telephone booking lines, will be found on the individual show pages which are found in the David Gilmour 2016 Tour zone.

Finally, here are the European dates in full:
•June 25th - Plac Wolnosci, Wroclaw, Poland
•June 27th - Schloss Schönbrunn, Vienna, Austria
•June 28th - Schloss Schönbrunn, Vienna, Austria
•July 10th - Arena di Verona, Verona, Italy
•July 11th - Arena di Verona, Verona, Italy
•July 14th - Schlossplatz, Stuttgart, Germany
•July 16th - Chateau de Chantilly, Chantilly, France
•July 18th - Wiesbaden Bowling Green, Wiesbaden, Germany
•July 20th - Les Arenes de Nimes, Nimes, France
•July 21st - Les Arenes de Nimes, Nimes, France
•July 23rd - Saline Royale d'Arc et Senans, near Besancon, France
•July 27th - Grote Markt, Tienen, Belgium
•July 28th - Grote Markt, Tienen, Belgium

The tour then concludes with the four dates previously announced for London's Royal Albert Hall, in September
