Nah, they all sound the same to me except for a respectable few.

If you have ever seen Rog live then you will know that during his solo stuff the bars and the toilets suddenly fill up

Say Nick did you see Rog on the 1984 pros and cons tour? If so, how was it? I've gathered as many boots from this tour as I can and nothing does the awesome set-list justice.

I think Roger's solo stuff is just as good as David's, and DG opened his early concerts this year with the entire new album, before bowing to the inevitible and pushing a couple of "Dark Side" tracks to the front. Not hearing any Floyd stuff until the second half must have tested the patience of any casual fans.

Roger has nothing to be ashamed of from his solo work. Sure, it is not as good as peak era Floyd, but there are plenty of great tracks he could have used on this tour. My picks would be:

Sexual Revolution
Three Wishes
It's A Miracle
Who Needs Information?
Across The Universe (Beatles cover)
Every Stranger's Eyes
A verse of "Breathe" from "The Body" worked into the DSOTM track
The Ballad Of Bill Hubbard (played over the PA to open the gig)

These are not necessarily my favourite RW solo tracks, but I think they would work well within the current setlist.

I got to hear a lot of his solo stuff during the last tour......

It's A Miracle
Every stranger's eyes
Perfect Sense
Bravery of being out of range
It's a miracle
Amused to Death
Flickering Flame

i was disappointed that th emood of the gig changed utterly during these songs as, lets face it, the vast majority dont know rogers solo stuff....

ive seen the set list for the new tour and like it a lot.. its definately aimed towards the more 'Pink Floyd' fan......

Im only too happy to listen to Waters solo stuff on his tours .... thats why Im there !!

As for Gilmour playing his entire new album in the first set on his recent tour - GOOD .... I wanted to hear it live. Didn't test my patience at all. It was excellent.

As for the casual fan - fuck them.

This is a setlist I wrote in another topic. It's ideal; none of the songs suffer from a lack of Dave, he can sing it all without lip-syncing (except that one verse in Perfect Sense; just make the backup singers do it), and most of all it represents his post-Floyd years.

SET 1

1. Radio Waves
2. Happiest Days Of Our Lives (KAOS arrangement with piano solo)
3. ABITW II (KAOS arrangement with no instruments in first few words)
4. Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert/Southampton Docks (Rog ALONE)
5. Sunset Strip
6. In The Flesh? (Fast)
7. Pigs (Two Diffirent Ones, remove Whitehouse and solos; segue from ITF)
8. Wish You Were Here (KAOS arrangement, plus segue from Pigs)
9. Every Stranger's Eyes (sing screamed bit in strangled present voice)
10. What God Wants (pt. 1)
11. Towers Of Faith (speak the Pope's like, not scream)
12. Set The Controls (Present arrangement)
13. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
14. Calls To The Hall (you heard me)

SET 2
1. Speak To Me/Breathe
2. Perfect Sense (pt. 1)
3. The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking
4. Dark Globe (Dave and Rick can't be the only Syd tributes; TML vocals)
5. The Fletcher Memorial Home
6. Perfect Sense (pt. 2)
7. Sea Shell And Stone/A Gentle Breeze Blew Through Life/Breathe
8. Lost Boys Calling
9. Hey You
10. The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range
11. Each Small Candle (or Two Suns In The Sunset; depends on mood)
12. Amused To Death

ENCORES
1. The Tide Is Turning (get the crowd to sing along, Hey Jude-style)
2. Brain Damage
3. Eclipse

Additions For The Sake Of Diversity: Across The Universe (for John Lennon's birthday), Learning To Fly (April Fool's day), Knockin' On Heaven's Door (Bob Dylan's birthday), When The Tigers Broke Free (Eric Waters' birthday), High Hopes (David Gilmour's birthday), Bike (Syd Barrett's birthday), In The Ghetto (Elvis Presley's birthday), Pink's Song (Rick Wright's birthday), Hey Joe (Jimi Hendrix's birthday... he did quote the song in Folded Flags), a long hour-long rant about anything in particular (Roger Waters' birthday), That's How I Beat Shaq (why not?).

(Great set-list, BTW)

Now Tenniru, we all know there's no way Roger can sing the last verse of "Hey you" these days. He hasn't even performed it on tour since 1985 has he?
