The New Roger Waters Website....
The site http://www.roger-waters.com/ has been down for a few weeks which has caused speculation about what might be coming in time for the 30th Anniversary of The Wall and Christmas coming soon!!
So far..... white screen with image below on....
Sony Music Logo for holding page! Exciting. But what could be on the way?
Roger owns the rights to The Wall I believe and not Pink Floyd Music 1986 as he took it with him as part of his settlement on leaving the band.

Re: The New Roger Waters Website....
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't PF '87 retain control of the three songs Gilmour co-wrote (Young Lust, Run Like Hell, and C-Numb)?

Re: The New Roger Waters Website....
As far as I am aware, he took ownership of the entire project. Although I could be very wrong. I know that PF doesnt own the wall though hence nothing for the 30th anniversary edition from them.
Let hope Mr Waters has something planned for his website. Perhaps video of the shows streaming from the site!!

Maybe heartland is being released under sony. Why would it have anything to do with something thats been out for 30 years?

Now seriously, I would bet is either The Wall DVD that Roger said he was working on during the last year or the 2007 tour DVD that Hogtown was talking about before his tragic departure. I don't really expect the inexistent "Heartland" to be released anywhere in the near future.Keith Jordan wrote:Sony Music Logo for holding page! Exciting. But what could be on the way?
But chances are that is only SONY doing a generic "modern facelift" on the site, perhaps adding the obligatory flash players with music and animation and all that flashy and superficial stuff that kids die for this days.
Or maybe they are just taking the site down and redirecting future visitors to www.davidgilmour.com

What's Heartland?
Some grim "I love humanity but it continues to betray that love with war and corruption and pestilence" project?

I know! They're redesigning it for if and when he takes The Wall on the road!
Well, I hope so.

His manager said, "In case you were wondering why Roger’s website is closed, its because we’re working on a Pink Floyd Website on which the individual members will also feature."

Sound very cryptic...
If that is the case, would that mean the end of DavidGilmour.com?

Gilmour has rights to play several songs off the Wall album, but can not play the entire wall.Keith Jordan wrote:As far as I am aware, he took ownership of the entire project.
Post Waters Floyd performed many Wall tracks...
Comfortably Numb (A Gilmour song, I know he owns rights to this one)
Run Like Hell (Gilmour also owns rights to this)
ABITW pt2
Thats what I can recall off the top of my head, I think another 1 or 2 tracks were played in 87-90

Plus "Hey You" and excerpts from "Another Brick Part 1".omnicron wrote:Post Waters Floyd performed many Wall tracks...

That's 4 and a half songs out of 26. That's not really much.

Re: The New Roger Waters Website....
Hey You has a Waters only credit... I think. Can't be bothered checking. Other than that Dave just does 3 songs that he has a co-writer credit on
