The Wall Live (2010-2013) Blu-ray/DVD

Post by GeezerButler »

I know that several shows of the tour were professinally filmed. Any intentions for an official release?

Some live footage:

This is just a guess but I would think that its all on hold until the tour finally finishes next September. Then get it out ready for the Christmas market 2013. Sounds like a plan to me.

A 2013 summer release would be much better -- it would further promote the tour.

I don't really care when it's released, as long as it's worth the wait.

What would be really great would be individual releases for every filmed performance. I want San Francisco on blu ray [-o<

Thanks for the update. I'm really looking forward to this. I caught the show in Nashville, Tn and it was just a good as I imagined it to be. I'm thinking within the next 12 months we Pink Floyd fans will have this, Roger and David's new cd.

Agreed. Why would that even be discussed? It's "The Wall." There aren't going to be very many (if, indeed, any) differences from one performance to the next.

Does anyone know exactly how many shows were filmed?

I'm more excited about the 1981 show that was teased in the Immersion box set, but I'm also looking forward to this.

According to reports written on Brain Damage, all three Greece shows and only the latter part of the O2 concert (from CN on) were filmed.

Offtopic, but what happened to the promised Blu-ray of The Wall (1982)? I read an interview by James Guthrie and he was clear that a 5.1 mix was being worked on. He also said some things about a supposed 5.1 mix of the album.
