My point was that not hearing anything about it does not equate to an imminent release. After the tour is over I'd assume that Roger may want to have another pass or two at the edit. If its out for X-Mas I'll be in shock as none of my usual inside sources know anything about this.
EDIT: One of my sources just confirmed that Guthrie hasn't even begun to work on the live recording(s) from the tour yet. However, it was confirmed that it is planned and will be released although there is no schedule at this time. Which means that it won't be out for X-Mas 2013.
GUTHRIE!!! Oh F*** me. That boys already got, the Blu-ray of the film that never gets finished or released, The 5.1 surround of the Wall album that never gets finished or released. Now The Roger Waters Tour. The original 1981 shows? - Lets not even go there.
Get Someone else on the job Rog and get it out!!!! I volunteer Ron Toon!

Any news on the DVD now that the tour has been over a little while? Summer 2014 release perhaps?

I reckon it'll be Christmas next year, released at the end of November 2014.

I'll be massively surprised if its any earlier, but I hope to be proved wrong!

Come on Waters and Gunthrie, get your fingers out!

I'm sure I read on Brain Damage it's out this year? could be wrong though?

I think the original 1980 (I think it was?) Wall footage I've seen is beyond salvage for Blu Ray although the sound is good ... also it was almost criminal That's Pink Floyd's final Pulse shows at Earls Court in 94 were not better visually recorded, had the CD, VHS and finally a DVD of that show but read it would be wasted on Blu Ray? Was at one of the 94 Earls Court shows too, will never forget it.

I just don't get what's taking Roger and Guthrie so long. It was filmed in Athens back in 2011, and in South America in 2012, so that's 3 and 2 years ago. Plenty of time to put it together and put it on sale. Why are they holding back?

I really don't think we'll see it this year. Maybe for Christmas, but I doubt it. Maybe I'm being a bit pessimistic, and I'm hoping to be proven wrong.

I don't think we can go by what is on YouTube concerning the original Wall footage. If that's where you have seen it. Things were very different in those days. When pirate video copies were made the quality degraded with each copy and that is what they look like to me. These days you get a 100% perfect copy each time.
Without seeing the original prints we have no idea as to how, with the use of modern day upscaling techniques, they might look.
I have not seen the snippet that is on the "The Wall" immersion set so could be talking out of my backside but just saying it might be better than you think.

Thanks for that Azza200.
That is much better quality than I've seem previously on You tube.
I wonder how much work they put in to restoring that. Probably not much as Guthrie couldn't even finish the 5.1 mix of the audio for the Immersion set in time. :-({|=
Main problem is that its too dark. I can imagine they didn't want to spoil the effects for the people who were watching live with additional lighting for film. But it does give it that "Woodstock" under-lit feel.
Still well watchable though!
