heres one i wrote...just part of it though, dont want anyone stealing my thoughts

"through the twisted tripping parinoia
my screaming darkness breeds new lies
seeing through my distorted states of emptyness
looking in a mirror with reflections of broken lives

through the constant states of my minds rapture
constantly hearing the decaying dogs mocking laughter
it reaches me as a silent passionate plea
a calling from a deceased body floating beneath the sea"

interesting ;)

it's incomplete yet, but this is what I've done so far:

"You don't fool me!"

Oh no. Not this time. No way!
I'm waking up and ev'rything's okay.
No Hitler moustache in the mirror.
Yess! Now check my slippers -

No mousetraps or clingfilm bags of water,
No drawing pins, which has my daughter.
Fuck, this is gettin' tiring,
And I can't make any firing.

Where are all my clothes?
They should be in wardrobe, I suppose...
Unrumple ev'ry sleeve, look ev'rywhere.
No nothing, so get dressed.

In bathroom sniff the toothpaste, check the toothbrush.
Before you use the toilet - flush.
Have a shit, unroll the whole roll
To check for shit the message hole.

Now go and have some breakfast,
Inspecting cornlakes won't be fast,
So have some toast and Marmite,
And big deal if I find there somethin'.

to be continued... based http://www.slowlydownward.com/PJA.htm from a Radiohead-related site

This poem sounds like something Edgar Allan Poe would have written...

here's the worst poem i ever wrote. for some reason it's the only one i've commited to memory:

mikey is my neighbor,
he lives near to me.
i see him walking down the street,
on his merry way.

strolling to the seaside on a sunny afternoon,
slipping as he trips,
then he slides and then explodes.

the end. (ta da!)

okay, in all seriousness, here's a link to some stuff i wrote a few years back:

http://members.tripod.com/~davidjay/dance.html

back in the '80s i lived in los angeles for a while. i was intrigued by the commuter car culture that i found there. i started to write some poems about it and later decided to get all "pink floyd" and string them together like a concept album. there are poems, bits of prose and some "sound bites" of a fictional radio talk-show host by the name of "danny brilliant". i originally wrote this in 1986. a full year before roger waters released radio kaos with jim ladd. he kind of stole my thunder!

a similar thing happened to me when i was writing a science fiction story about a space ship captain who blows up his ship after it's boarded by the ememy. i had just finished the first draft. that night i went to see the "star trek III, the search for spock" on it's opening night. wouldn't you know that capt. kirk blows up the enterprise to defeat a group of klingons that's come on board. my first thought was "damn you harve bennett, i just wrote that today!" oh well.

I lost my interest for it for a while... if you canˇt wait, make your own continue

Underneath the velvet skies

Underneath the velvet skies,
Where we all look like just some flies.

1.Can't you see what's goin' on? The tide of UFO's turning on, and
Silent neighbours that ride them seem oh so like us.

2.But different world they must live in coz different laws command them still.
Oh History, my dear, what have you done!?

Ch.: Searching for the unknown things,
Dunno if we learn about it.
Remember how we used to be
Or not, it just so seems to feel.
Are we brothers-sisters, no?
This rusty lock has to unroll.
Till then
they fly
Underneath the velvet skies,
Where we all look like just some flies.

3.Remember something from our past, if there was the one at last.
It was... (*almost silence*) God, I forget.
4.We fly in space, study ev'ry place, and yet are clueless, it's like a haze.
Why won't you come down at last and talk to us about the past?

Ch.:

a piano-lead song; reminds early Wright a bit, or even "Fearless", only if piano was in the lead there
