Tour of Syd's House

Post by Violet-Abyss »

Found this video on youtube.com. It was a video tour done recently and aired on Look East on BBC. Interesting to see his DIY projects, especially the hippo doorknob. Have a look:

What is WTF?

DIY = Do It Yourself. Instead of getting a joiner to put a shelf up, you get up off your far arse and put it up yourself. That sort of stuff.

I enjoyed the elephant door knob! 8)

Ok Keith...ill get back on topic :(

Pretty interesting stuff. Is that what it looked like before he died or did they take everything down (curtains, bedsheets, etc.). It looks very spartan if thats exactly what it looked like when he lived there

P.S.: ill post those pics of the room in the Post A Pic section

I think I have some stalker photos somewhere showing a view of his front room. He isnt home though. I cant quite remember where I got the pics. I think they were in a bundle I downloaded!!

I dont think I will be posting them on here though as it is not very good behaviour!

A lot of his possessions are most likely holed up in the auction houses storage facility somewhere ready for next month. It is next month the auction isnt it? whenever it is Im thinking of going, dont know if I'll buy anything, seems a bit odd but I must admit Im curious to have a look. So in conclusion that video is after much of Syd's / Roger's (whatever we're calling him these days) items have been removed.

Great stuff and another fascinating look inside the life of someone we all seem to admire here.
