Perhaps, but the name "Iggy the Eskimo" is historically correct. "Iggy the Inuit" would not be the same historical figure.

The Church of Iggy the Inuit is trying to shed a light on the Syd Barrett home video that originally appeared in the pre-show-video from the Knebworth show in 1990. The home video only takes about one minute and a half of the complete documentary…

Dark Globe (many thanks for you know what!) has said the following about it:

There's footage of Syd larking around in a garden with friends in 67, the 'lilac shirt' footage of Syd (late 67/68?) in which Lyndsay Korner also appears, and the blue suit/yellow ruffled shirt footage of Syd in the woods with two girls (Iggy and a mystery brunette) from 69. The home movie footage is multilayered and you can catch glimpses of different footage superimposed on top of the main footage.

If somebody could give some more information I would greatly appreciate that, especially if somebody could shed a light how many movies were involved and the approx dates these were shot…

And then there are the following mystery persons in the movie – who are they?

Q1: garden scene – blowing bubbles






Q2: when Syd and Iggy are walking ‘in the woods’ a face is superimposed (Mick Rock?)



Q3: scene in front of a house




Q4: Syd blowing bubbles



Q5: close-up



Q6: the mysterious brunette

Q2 is definitely Mick Rock. His features are too unique for it not to be him. Lends credence to the fact that it must have been him who filmed Syd and the two girls in the "woods".

Q5: I've always speculated that it's Lindsey Corner, but have no way of proving that it actually is her.

As for the others, I've no idea.

David Gale and Matthew Scurfield identified a few people at a recent reading at Border's (thanks to Dark Globe for taking the pics with him). Especially David Gale who recognised himself at Q1 pic 3.

More info will follow soon on my blog. The mystery brunette remains still a mystery, but perhaps Mick Rock knows as he allegedly made the Lost In The Woods video with Syd and Iggy...
