And, um, Syd...who sang the bloody thing? Cause see there's a forum I'm a member of and there is this on going debate whether you sang the lead or Nick Mason did.
Yall know it was Nicky! He said it was a hard thing to do to sing with Barrett's sped-up backing vocals.
Wasn't it in Random Precision that Peter Jenner states that Nick did the vocals on that one? Isn't there a BBC version with Syd on lead vocals floating around on boots in (taped from the radio) horrible quality?
If I had to ask one question I'd ask him if he'd like to jam... or what the hell this one chord in Octopus is that I can't figure out! :D

You're a lucky man if you can figure what tempo "Octopus" is in.

Hi,Roger What did you have for lunch?

Sorry guys ,all the other fawning stuff would make him slam the door in your face!!,but of course you knew that anyway!

Raglani--Nick has stated that he sang the lead vocal on the session and Syd the speeded up second vocal, and the "she'll be scrubbing bubbles on all fours" bit, listen to the vocal and then listen to arnold layne- it's clearly nick!.
The BBC version is clearly Syd (listen to the vocal style/characteristics of the voice).
I don't know why there is any debate about this other than wishful thinking!

As for the Octopus missing chord,i was going to suggest tabs however they seem to add unnecessary 5ths 7ths etc, just listen to the record over and over until you get it. ](*,)

The speeded overdub contains multiple vocals at the same time. I think it's prominently Mason, with (I guess) some Barrett, Wright and maybe Waters.
I hear multiple gnomes. But maybe it's my mind being funny. :)
