Indeed, it has affected the running of the environment agency where I work. I have a reduced workload as that bloody phone isn't ringing with fools annoying me!! lol

More importantly, cant you get tickets for glastonbury from Virgin or HMV or somewhere or do you have to phone up? Not all phones in Manc are down are they? Use a friends phone or make friends with somebody who has credit/contract phone!! lol 8)

theres only 2 ways to get a ticket now .it's getting more difficult every year
1 phone up the number and theres only one number .?credit card or chueqe (check)??
2 on the internet with debit cards only?
cos there not handing them out to ticket offices. and the tickets r personalised .when you phone up you can only get two tickets per card (order) and you need the name an address of the persons whos having the tickets, ????????
this might explain. and ive just found out ive got no money

Tickets will go on sale at 8 pm on April 1, 2004.

Tickets will cost ?112.00 plus ?3.00 booking fee and ?4.00 postage and packing.

Tickets will only be sold on the telephone ticket line 0870 830 2004 and through the website address ? http://www.aloud.com.

No credit cards can be used, only debit cards. Electron cards will not be accepted.

Postal orders and cheques will be accepted as payment on the telephone ticket line. When you confirm your order you will be given a reference number. Cheques and postal orders, together with the reference number, must be received by Wayahead, the ticket agency, within five working days of the sale. The address of Wayahead is The Hollows, St James? Street, Nottingham NG1 6FJ. Cheques must be made out to "Glastonbury Festival 2004 Ltd".

Sometimes people buy tickets for others. If you order tickets on-line on behalf of a third party, please enter the address of that person/these people on the booking screen. Do not enter your own address. Please make sure have the full addresses and postcode of the people attending the Festival to hand before making your booking. The tickets will be sent direct to the first named on the booking screen.

Car Parking and campervan/caravan tickets will be available to purchase in the same transaction as festival tickets. Car Parking tickets will cost ?5 per vehicle and campervan/caravan tickets will cost ?40 per vehicle. Only campervans or caravans with fitted sleeping, washing and cooking facilities will be allowed into the campervan field this year. Please check the article in this website for details of which types of vehicles can use these fields.

Tickets sales will be restricted to two per person and per telephone call. Each transaction will be thoroughly checked, and duplicate transactions will be declined - if not at the time of sale, at a later stage.

In addition to the two tickets a parent or guardian can purchase in their own right, they will also be able to buy a maximum of two ?Child tickets?. These tickets are for children between the ages of 13 and16, who must be accompanied at the entry gate by that adult. ?Child tickets? will be the same price as adult tickets. Accompanied children 12 and under are free and do not need a ticket.

All tickets will be personalised and checks will be made at the gates. Details of these checks will be sent out with tickets.

You will need to give a name and address for each person coming to the festival. As there will be no refund or option to change details once tickets are sent out, please be sure all details are accurate when booking tickets. Ticket orders can be cancelled and ticket price refunded until May 20th.

Overseas ticket sales will be handled differently from UK ticket sales. If you are living abroad, you can only buy tickets online using a credit card. Tickets for overseas sales will not be sent out by post, but can be collected from an office in Shepton Mallet between Wednesday morning, June 23rd and Sunday morning, June 27th 2004. Details of the collection arrangements and the checks that will be carried out will be sent to successful ticket purchasers.

Glastonbury is getting a bit over rated - it has been good but now its just a farce. The bands aren't even very good this year with Oasis and Macca. Not worth ?120 to stay in a sese pit for three days at the mercy of extortionests.

maybe so
but the money raised go's to charitys like oxfam , wateraid, and freetrade etc.
and whats wrong with macca , oasis i won't argue on that one
i also seen roger waters at glasto and it was the best gig i've ever seen in a field in surround sound?
plus the atmosphere there is the best espcialy when your with about 12 of your mates and they bring there mates theres an army of you (can't beat it ) and for the sess pit it's only like that when it rains?
and there are plenty of other things to do and see. it's not just about the headliners? new bands, theatre, circus, burning man, acoustic stage, comedy, markets, food from all over the world and interesting people from all over the world hippies new age hippies rockers hobos all kinds of mad heads ???
including me , and the manchester crew
etc etc ect its just a laugh

Absolutely, theres no atmosphere there any more either. I'm going again this year (only took 2 minutes to get my ticket :P ) but if its no better than the last couple of years it will be my last time. Judging by the bands that have confirmed so far it already looks like it could be the worst line up ever, I nicked this list off someones site...

Basement Jaxx have confirmed themselves
The Bees are playing the Other Stage
Blackbud have confirmed on their website
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club told the crowd at a recent Glasgow gig
Bonobo are apparently on but it's not clear if it's a DJ or band set
James Brown is playing on Sunday evening according to BBC News
Chemical Brothers have confirmed
Elbow told NME that they plan to play
Franz Ferdinand were mentioned by Emily Eavis to XFM
PJ Harvey's website says she is on the main stage on Friday
Hybrid confirmed at a gig, I'm told
I Am Kloot have confirmed on their website
Keane told a gig-goer that they are playing
The Killers told XFM they are playing
Kings of Leon will play support on Friday
Kosheen confirmed they will play the Dance Tent on their web forum
Lamb are playing the Avalon Stage on Friday according to Jon Thorne
The Magic Band have confirmed for Friday on their website
Paul McCartney is confirmed by Eavis for Saturday
Mohair are playing the New Band stage, according to a Fuse FM DJ
Christy Moore confirmed on an Irish TV show and is playing with Declan Sinnott
Morrissey says he is playing
Muse have told Ch4 teletext Planet Sound they are playing
Ms Dynamite is reported to play by NME and Q
Quantic Soul Orchestra have said they are playing
Oasis are headlining the Main Stage on Friday
John Otway is appearing in the Cabaret and outside theatre areas
Pronghorn are playing again
Bonnie Raitt is playing on Sunday, her website says
Damien Rice is playing according to Q and his fan site
Josh Rouse's mailing list says he is playing
The Ruffness are headlining Small World stage on Saturday, says their website
The Scissor Sisters have told Radio 1 they are playing
Snowpatrol are playing, I'm told
Suzanne Vega has confirmed on her website
Tindersticks will be headlining the Acoustic Stage on Friday
Ty is bringing a full band to the Dance Stage on Sunday, his site says
Way Out West say they are appearing on their message boards

out of that lot theres only one band that I want to see that I havent seen already, looks like another weekend at the New tent.
