This is possible. I've done it lots of times. Must look into my own "tips and hints" document on how I did it. Also, a quick google gives me:Chris Clarke wrote:I've seen the one with the dummy before but not this one anyone able to grab it?

Is that good software?
The problem is that the Flash movie we've been watching the past few days on YouTube must be a "converted" version of the original. The original must heve been digitally copied from VHS (or celloloid maybe?) to, most probabley, DVD format (i.e. MPEG2). I want that MPEG2 file, not the low resolution Flash file!!!!! What I wanna know is who posted that movie on youtube.

If you want to save a YouTube file, use the link below:
http://zfreez.com/web/Ut.htm
This is free and will save it as a .flv file. You may then need something to play this format so I recommend the VLC Media player which can also be found for free on the net. Of course, I too would love an MPEG-2 copy of this but I guess this will suffice for the moment! And who DID post this film to begin with???
PS - If you want to convert the .fly file into an MPEG of sorts, search for the Riva FLV Encoder - it seems to do the trick!!

Thank you very much for the tips and information. But the problem is that all video codecs (i.e. mpeg, divx, flash, wmv, etc., etc., etc., etc.) are 'lossy'. That is, they ditch information to save disk space. Not to mention that flash movies are often downsized to about 320X240 pixels or something like that. DVD, film and even VHS have a much higher resolution than that. So even more degradation there. If you try to play a (converted) flash movie on a TV you would unpleasently be surprised at the quality of he movie.....
So does anyone have clue as to who posted this youtube Arnold Layne promo?
