What a way to WASTE money :smt082
What good or joy could those things bring to your life ?
Anyway, that and all the other things shouldn't even be worth that much - after all he was just an ordinary guy like most people who paid these prices will insist that he was.

He was just an ordinary guy, just like your next door neighbour. Would you pay ?1300 for Two A5 spiral notebooks from your next door neighbour?

Where does the money from this actually go ? I never managed to find out.

Please don't tell me Syd's sister will pocket all of this ???  Particularly after her interview in the press a week after his death saying that he was just a normal person but then takes advantage of the fact everyone thinks differently.

Apparently, some of the money will be going to help young/upcoming artists and such?

Here is an Excel spreadsheet with all the lots above with a currency converter added so you can see the final prices for all items in US Dollars, Euros and Pounds Sterling.

You will need MS Excel 1997 and later to open the file below.

I also made a nice list in the News section with the items in descending order in terms of sale price!

The sale catalogue described Barrett - who quit Pink Floyd in 1968 - as a man with a "total disinterest in materialism". Hahahahaha!!! What a great, fitting quote!

Surely they'll be inheriting Syd's royalty payments and the money he had already received from royalities before his death. He was worth 1.2 Million, was it ?
