Post by Groovybass77 »

I am making a slide show type video in memory of Syd on Youtube and want to know what song i should play in the background. Help me! You have one day to vote!

If you don't think any of those songs are good choices pick other and tell me which one you have in mind.

Jugband Blues because it is the last song that Syd recorded on PF LP

"Shine On", even though it is a bit of a cliche.

Shine On. Yes it's a cliche, but it's the most beautiful cliche ever!

thanks to all who voted. I decided to do the title intro with See Emily Play, the duration of the video with Shine On, and the credits with Jugband Blues.

I will post a link to the final product once i upload it to Youtube (god im turing into a youtube geek! )

EDIT:
here is the finished video!

Throw in a bit of Astronomy D as well. Just a few chords will do.

I used Dark Globe for mine the week he passed away. And now, I cry whenever I hear it.

Just watched it. I really liked it, but I wish you would've put some solo stuff in. But nobody wants to make a two hour tribute video (or do they?), so your song selection was good. Thanks!

It's late I know but I would have choose Jugband Blues because when I see Syd playing this song I see all his sadness and his confusion! It seems to me that he took leave of his friends and fans with this so melancholy song !
