Its just my opinion that a couple of the track names are a little iffy i.e Come and see and No Heaven or No Hell :)

Also, if Floyd did get back together, I think that the music would be written together, and you wouldnt immediatly be able to think 'thats a Waters song because its wordy' or thats a Gilmour song because its not wordy'

I'm thinking of something along the lines of Animals :) If you listened to the album before looking at the credits, its hard to assume that all but one track was a Waters solo writing credit.

I always though that Traces would be a good name for a Pink Floyd instrumental.

OK, Ill take this while Im waiting for my burgers to cook...

Sure, some track names are questionable, pick a Floyd album without a questionable song title without hearing it in context!

If Floyd did get back together it would be great if the music would ultimately be a soup of what they've been working on over the past X amount of years, if the Rick Wright album rumours are true then all of the classic Floyd line up have been working on material except Mason who has alternative writing talents. A blend of these things would reflect what you are saying. But Floyd havent worked that way since 19777 and that was almost by chance, the last determined effort of a Floyd collaboration was 1974 when they initially started working on Shine On. 32 YEARS AGO!!

I see where you are coming from with Animals, and it is indeed true that if you listen to the album before looking at the writing credits its hard to think of it as a Waters album (this was pre-Wall after all!), and having already followed an album that consisted of a similar format its easy to see why the not-we would take it in stride. Its impossible to visualise Floyd working as they did on Animals now tho, thats a band that doesnt exist anymore rather than a band that could potentially exist, theres too much red tape and to all extents and purposes Gilmour is what is known as Pink Floyd now, commercially and near legally. Its sad that he doesnt see the benefits of working with Waters, I hate to talk down the third person on my hero list but he really can be a stubborn cock! Ive just realised that I cant actually be bothered with serious Floyd debate right now, instead of trying to create a fantasy Im going to crack open a can of beer, put the Saucerful of Secrets LP on and create a fantasy...oh bollocks!!!

Yeah, looks like I'm assembling it.

I'll pm you my snail-mail addy. I'd like it in wav file on a disc, if you would, please.

Re: myspace.

It's easy to sign up at myspace, if you want to. If you don't, it's not that big of a deal. The hassle I'm having over getting my song up on the site has gotten pretty ridiculous and is short circuiting my plans for the page.

That's okay, though. I'll have that dealt with soon :D

What I'd like, if you wouldn't mind, would be the name your piece is performed under and all the necessary credit information.

You can send me that in a pm.

Ok, I do have a page, but I've just basically been at a loss for what to do with it. I have no "friends". I've got your addy that you pm'd me, but would it be preferable if I uploaded it to you at some point, somehow?

I'm still using my grandparents computer for the internet at the moment. This means that between a firewall and a dial-up connection, download wouldn't be possible right now, never mind preferable.

Hi Mosepa!
We are already working on No Heaven And No Hell!
A rough demo to be recorded next week.

Duly noted. Glad to see you jump on board, Stu

No one has claimed Come And See...so I have claimed it now. If anyone would like to step up and write some music for No Heaven And No Hell, I'll give a few days for you to come forth...if not, I'll grab that, also.

While I thank you for that Patrik I should point out that I really cant wait to hear what you folks do, if I had to pick a favourite band from the NPF marathons you folks would be my seventh! Im just joking of course, I thought you were superb and like many others really cant wait to hear your take on See Emily Play again!!! and really want you folks involved in the tour next year, Im having a lot of trouble with my internet browser at the moment tho, I have seen that you have sent me messages and I do try to reply but the problem Im having is that my browser keeps redirecting to porn!!! not that Im complaining of course ;) the only thing I seem to be able to do tho is post replies on here and work on mysoace and thats it, everything else tells me Id rather look at porn instead without me saying so!, there may be a lot of truth in that but its annoying, during the day anyway ;) If you can send me a message on myspace to http://www.myspace.com/portlandrockbar we can catch up properly, and that goes to anyone else I need to catch up with on here because, altho I can post on the forum, the second I try replying to PMs or try sending them, all I get is a porn page!!! (cracking norks tho ;) )

wait... do you CHOOSE who to put on the record? I thought every song is made by only ONE artist or band

*sigh*

Moom, all of your questions are answered in threads from around the time this whole thing started.

Stu announces that he's ready to start working on the next project.

THEN, people post saying which song they're going to do. THIS is how the song decisions are made: First come, first served.

For example, if you and I both want to do Childhood's End, and you claim it in a post in the appropriate thread before I do, then I have to choose another song for this volume. HOWEVER, I could still record Childhood's End for the next volume.

Then, Stu sets a deadline and we all get to work on recording our songs. When we are finished, we send them into Stu...hopefully BEFORE the deadline.

Stu then decides which order to put the songs in and then masters the discs.

It's really very simple.
