Hmmm...conflicting emotions.

It seems like doing it without Parsons would be something of a mistake, but on the other hand, if he's wanting to change things, maybe it's for the best.

I'm sure that when Parsons refers to things he would change, he sincerely believes them to be improvements, and maybe on a technical level they would be, but DSOTM doesn't need anything done differently to it.

I hope the new mix is faithful to the original mix.

I hope they don't "improve it to death."

this is ollllddd news Keith :p

personally i will get the new DVD-A
i will play it on my 5.1 sound system

it will be good

i cant imagine a better way of listening to the music, personally

although, i don't think it should be DVD-A - there should be 'special features' on it, like a slide show of rare pictures, and gear that appear on screen

which would be good.

some original demos of the songs would rock as well..

40 minutes of 4 channel sound wont use up a WHOLE DVD

Correct me if I'm wrong about this but I thought I remember reading somewhere that the relationship between Parsons and the band was not really that good at the time of the recording. Even though DSOTM is a groundbreaking album in many respects, I'm sure there were things they wanted to do differently at the time but couldn't for whatever reason. I know I remember reading articles where Rick said that although he likes WYWH a lot he always felt that there was much room for improvement. It's probably the same fro anything they recorded.

Is Roger involved in this at all? anybody know
