The New Machine plays Pink Floyd
The Machine from Torbay, Devon in the UK were formed by guitarist Mark Emery in 1998.
The Machine played across the country in venues such as The Limelight, Robin Hood The Phoenix Exeter and many festivals in the Southwest but
In 2001, lead singer and Keyboardist Ivan Jewel had to leave the band for personal reasons (ala Syd Barratt) and The Machine was shelved.
In 2006 The New Machine "came back to life" with Jai Darling adding lead vocals to his great drumming talents and Paul Matthews coming in on Keyboards. Nige Pike and the Girls re-Joined and Tny came back in on Sax.
The New Machine have now released their own album of 12 Foyd titles. "Interstellar Rockstar" - the title track, an original song reached number 49 in the Rolling Stone mp3 and has achieved over 500 downloads aweek from http://www.we7.com ( Peter Gabriel's sponsored download site)
Live Album recorded at the Princess Pavilion Fathmouth in June '08 is being mastered and will be available soon.
