I always assumed that this forum was for Pink Floyd related album discussion
Carla Bley is a fine musician, and there are parts on here that do remind me of the Frank Zappa style of jazz/rock infused pop music. However, some songs are much better than others. "Can't Get My Motor to Start" is kinda classic somehow.

I would imagine not many official copies of it on CD were released. I've only seen official copies of it on cassette and LP. My copy is a rip of the CD in mp3 format, which I snagged way back during Napster's heyday of 1999.

but even harder to find no doubt.
No, not really...I bought it at a local HMV of all places, for about $15.99 last year and they promptly added another copy to their stock. But there's nothing to indicate Nick Mason's involvement other than his credit for drumming (and he drums on every track). Michael Mantler's name is on the front, not Nick's. It's actually a very good album. Very atmospheric, almost cinematic sounding jazz rock.

Right, it's the best song on the album, though the lyrics are awfully silly.

Dont think it is
It is not. There are no official albums on "A Tree Full Of Secrets".
