Correct again, Mossy. Only three worth a damn. Sorrow is life support for a guitar solo.

But no survey of AMLOR is complete without slagging Dogs of War as the absolute worst piece of crap in the Floyd canon.

i listened to AMLOR (or better said Learning to Fly) by accident yesterday. This record gets worse every time i hear it. The funny thing though is, that i really start to like the live versions of the songs

That song Jon Carin wrote, Learning to Fly, is pretty good.

The best part is looking at the photo of "Pink Floyd" that "made" that album. Its a fricking photo of Gilmour and Mason. What a joke. Mason? cmon. So, that is Pink Floyd, eh....Mason and Gilmour. Hey, thats greeeeeeaaaat. <ii>

The main purpose of AMLOR is to show the dishonesty of the other Floyd members and hanger-onners, and Bob Ezrin, and that geek that made a living being in the right place at the right time (Storm Thurgosen) who tried to pretend that he was the genius behind the Animals album cover when he was just the gopher boy doing Roger's bidding and then TRYING to lay claim to the brilliance of the album cover and has been on tour for the last 20 years as the guy who made great album covers and woopeedooo and in 2009 is reduced to being a guy hanging out with the likes of Col Turner et al. Dear God...look at the fallen...the fallen.

The only way this album could be worse is if Gilmour had already bagged his then current wife and taken up with a new charade....the (ahem) novel writer (that nobody has ever read a book from) Polly Samson. Imagine if SHE was allowed to add her, uh, talents to the facade. <.8.> <.8.> <.8.> <.8.> <.8.> <.8.> <.8.>

OK, I feel better now. :?

If anyone has it can they post that photoshop picture of Mason and Gilmour where Wright had just been added in? It's unintentionally hilarious

I hate to tell you this but Roger has hung out with Col Turner as well. And..God help us ... Roger's son and the guitarist he uses on tour have answered questions on his site. Oh the shame, the shame

You know, I have never seen this pic with the photo shop of Rick in it. LOL!!!!

When I was a little kid, the first "Floyd" album I got Permanent Lapse of Creativity and I bought the "Casette tape"....remember those days? And it had a pic of Gilmour and Mason....and I KNEW something wasnt right...my older brother had DSOTM and I remember there were more than 2 guys in the band....I had NO idea what the history was all about but I KNEW something wasnt right. Then I listened to the album and I liked the song Carin wrote and Turning Away was OK but the rest was terrible.

15 years later, I revisited Floyd and became a big time fan but then I figured out the landscape.
