I'm sorry, but how do I make one via post? Do I need to have a bank account?

If you send me an email, I shall send you my address to send a cheque to if that is your preference.

Moom, I think it would help if you had a bank account if sending a cheque. I think in this country, you can purchase something called a money order from the post office and send that. It has the recipients name on it in case it goes missing in the post so can only be used by the recipient in that case.

Perhaps other people will be able to share ideas/thoughts on this?

+1 to that. According to the site stats just now, 76 members logged into this site over the last 24 hours. Surely some of you can give something towards the running of the site. Even if it only a small amount.

I shall give an update later on this evening of where we are up to. I think we have just about gone over the 50% mark. Half way there, still a distance to go!!

We can do it!

Donations are very important to the site as those are what keeps it going. The adverts that I put on the site the other day are earning about £0.30 per day which wouldn't cover the cost of the monthly competitions! So paying for the cost of the rest of the site is down to donations which are very much needed.

I am just the "custodian" of the site these days as it is a community site more than anything. Therefore I feel the community should be paying up... and soon!!! ;-)

Like "human" is a fancy word for man.

I've had the most aggravating experience with my bank, I should be on the "annoyed" thread. Apparently, in order to send a check snail-mail, as I was planning, I must fill out a form, they must order the Sterling, and they want a third of what I'm contributing in fees.

That's the biggest crock of bullsh@t I've been fed for awhile. This is why America is going down the tubes. :?

I'll be doing pay-pal, please bear with me, I detest technology. :)
