This is an immortal album from Floyd, they were ahead of their time when they conceived this and still ahead of our time today, therefore it will never die.I gave it a 5.

5/5

It is not my fav Floyd album (that is WYWH) and sometimes not even my 2nd fav album (it swaps with Roger's ATD), but I could not rate less than a 5.

I was born in 1980. Far too late to see the immediate tsunami it caused upon release. It would beat ATD and prob even WYWH if not for two songs: Great Gig and Money. Neither are bad, but neither are great (for me). GG is beautiful musically... up until the damned banshee act by Claire. In 99, Waters did just the piano intro to it and I LOVED IT!! Far more than the album version. It ended... right.

Money is good, but... maybe because I've heard it SO many damned times. Forget the live versions. Always overblown and drawn out far too long (an excuse for Dave to flirt with Rachel Fury in the 87-89 shows). The album version is the best, but... the song Time, I can listen every version of that song on a never-ending loop and smile... Money? Even the best album version makes my eye twitch after a few minutes.

Definitely is a 5 overall, but doesn't reach the "summit" for me.

Like you'd need an excuse?

Still, top album...not much I can think of that beats it.

I have Delicate Sound on DVD. Every time I see "that" part in Great Gig I practically flirt with my TV or computer monitor, never mind how I'd act around the lady herself. It's a shame she did an Amelia Earhart and vanished since then. Wonder what she looks like now...

Judging by Google, it appears to be an entertainment retail chain.

:smt022 I thought I'd be the one to get to flirt with Rachel Fury. If you're on Facebook, you can join her fan page in which there are a few pictures where she's hot!!!!!!!!! <.8.>

I had the VHS version but now no VCR so I downloaded the VOIO version which is basically someone's Laserdisc Rip converted to conventional DVD. I always hated the edits on the film but loved some songs, especially the "One Slip" encore in which everyone were having fun including David's repeated 'whoo!!!!!!' at some parts. My favorite would be that middle bassy section where a quick glimpse of Rachel Fury could be seen really getting down and dancin'.

She's not the only hot one; there's also Margret Taylor who had even shorter and tighter miniskirt and I like the part where she blew a kiss to the camera during the "Shine On"/Ending Credits section. But Rachel rules as the hot one especially with her extremely tight and more revealing tank top (even Bran would agree with me on this!). <ii>

If you're thinking a home made video containing Rachel with David doing the umm... then :smt078 Personally, of course, it'd be a clip of ME with Rachel, maybe even with Kelly.

Getting really back on topic, though, I'll have to rate this as a 4.8. This was my very first personal album I had purchased in 1991 on cassette. The one to get me into the band was my brother's "The Wall" cassette he had gotten for his birthday in 1990, hence my username.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum today. Always been a massive Floyd fan, and was lucky enough to have found Dark Side Of The Moon in my early teens - it blew my whole world wide open!!!

I hope you would be interested in visiting my blog - it is a classic album review, and has a detailed article on Dark Side and its effects on me as a teenager and beyond.

the site is: www.mushythebeatle.blogspot.com

Hopefully I'll meet equally as enthusiatic Floydies on here now I'm a member!
