I enjoy this album very much. Only low point would be Roger's vocals. The instrumentals are incredible especially "Our Song".

I heard "Our Song" on A Tree Full Of Secrets, and couldn't believe it... God, I don't wanna know whose echoey, toilet-bound farts those are.

Roger's songs would be nice if they didn't all sound the same; I can't even pick out Floyd on "Give Birth To A Smile" for that matter. Hearing the bizarre alternate universe "Breathe" is interesting, though.

I've never heard the strange Geesin tracks, but I'm downloading the CD at the moment. I'm too curious.

WOW. "Body Transport" is HILARIOUS. :-P

Yes, in response to a previous post, it is the sound of two people sneaking into a hospital room, and giving the guy's bed a good shove down the hallway....

Wise decision, best solo Floyd album by far! With the exception of Barrett's solo output, of course.

I mean, you should buy it! Not just download it [-X

Not that Roger needs the money, but I think Geesin sure does.

Is this album out of print? I have never watch it displayed on any store.

I'm just listening to it now. I bought the c.d on ebay a few months agon but just never bothered listenting to it after hearing it once or twice circa 94. It's actually better than I'd remebered.

This is an interesting album. I appreciate it more for where it lies in the Floyd's history than as a work from one of the band members. Roger Waters has built this reputation as a songwriter who can't write a piece of music unless there's a concept to it, but The Body kind of diverts from that. It has some fun tracks on it, plus I think "Sea Shell and Stone" and "Chain of Life" are really relaxing. 3/5

If you are a Floyd fan and have never heard Breathe, Sea Shell And Stone, and Chain Of Life, then I feel sorry for you. I love these songs. It's in the vein of "Grantchester Meadows" (UMMAGUMMA) and "If" (ATOM HEART MOTHER) and "Goodbye Blue Sky" (THE WALL) - Waters' great vocals and acoustic nylon-string guitar. Honestly, if Waters had made albums like this instead of RADIO KAOS, I'd be his biggest fan. He could have made a masterpiece of a pastoral-sounding album. Most of us have heard the acoustic demo of "Money" by now. He's an under-rated singer; I love hearing his voice and style on these acoustic nuggets.

5 stars for those 3 songs; 3 stars for the entire album since Geesin makes somes pretty annoying songs that drive many Floyd fans away.

I like it a lot, completely! All the Ron Geesin stuff, and the few Roger songs.

Try to get your hands on the documentary. I think it has been a great inspiration as far as themes/song subjects and visuals.
I've uploaded some clips on youtube, here's one:
