Why is it that every time I try to click onto a ddevil link, I end up at a site called "Porn that makes you want to gouge your eyes out"?

I wouldn't mind, but they want money.

You made an excellent point, Nosaj. Poor people get the shaft. Still, I'd rather be poor in my town than say...try to take down an oil tanker with a rubber raft, like your average desperate Somalian citizen. I've actually lived without power and running water and indoor plumbing, many times. On purpose. It is fantastic. And extremely exhausting. And boring beyond belief. Try sitting in a cabin for a few months with three books. It gets old. loll

China is in the news today, for ripping off secrets from various American agencies through the internet. tsk.

Bad China!! Bad, bad China!!

I can never really gauge the political beliefs of some of the people on this forum. You do realise Jeremy Clarkson is a fan of Pink Floyd as we know, but what do you think about Thatcher getting a state funeral?

To be honest, I can't say I'm surprised this decision was taken. I was more pre-occupied being a child going from primary School to Secondary School after my Dad had died than I was about the things she did. But I know a lot of people older than me who really hate her.
I'd wank over the actress who plays Thatcher in The Final Cut EP, but I wouldn't wank over Maggie or even Meryl Streep. Ugh! No! Meryl Streep... <.8.>
Thatcher did steal my school milk as a child though. So I give her that.
That said, I'll be ignoring the news stories and footage about this. If people are going to do something at it, seeing as they can't stop it, they'll do it.
I always think if you want to get angry over the 80's then where's the rage about what's happening now?
Other than this thread!

I love old English cars. One day I want to get a Triumph TR6...anyway, from what I understand, Thatcher privatized the auto industry in the UK and the result was all those awesome car manufacturing companies disappeared.

Nationalised industries are a nightmare. When they go wrong they have to be subsidised. Better off just letting businesses take care of everything and use taxation to pay dole for when there aren't any jobs. Also one question all the people who lost their jobs when Thatcher stopped subsidising those unprofitable nationalised industries so people lost their jobs is what did they do with their money when they had jobs? Pissed it down the toilet in the local WMC. They all got angry about it but really imo they should have appreciated the fact we have a dole in the country so people who lose their jobs don't get left for dead and can have their children educated and their health problems treated. Do they appreciate that? Do they fuck! I'm not a tory by the way I'm a Liberal but I just hate Nationalised industries. Everyone slags capitalism off but it's been great by and large. Obviously it's not perfect but it's been the lifeblood of our civilisation and even most of the socialist recognise that now which is why they let Blair run the party and sell the soul of Labour party down the river. They imo became a Liberal party under Blair and if Ed Milliband tacks to the left then they won't get elected.

"A country in the West Indies wants to remove the Queen as it's head of state!"
"Jamaica?"
"No, I wasn't eligible to vote."

Sky News (particularly Sky Sports News) wetting themselves that Harry Redknapp has got away with Tax Evasion and can now remain top contender for England Manager's job. Unbelievable. They are positively salivating at the thought that the new manager is available with his track record of 1 FA Cup, all the while hoping and praying the man with 14 trophies is told to hop it a few months before he leaves anyway.

Superb preparation as always by England months away from a major tournament.

British National Party member list gets hacked and released... again! In three parts. Names, addresses, emails, telephone numbers. Just google "British National Party membership 1 of 3 Pastebin.com" for more laughs and fun.

"Well how would you feel if your name, address, email and telephone number got leaked?" well, if I was a member of a party of hate, then I'd agree with you about secrecy! <ii>

So, I see European media is overswept with discussions about our Tallinn's public transport being free of charge since the next year (it's not official yet, but it's likely to happen, knowing our mayor)? :=)
