The "5 Minute Version of The Wall"

Post by W1P »

Someone in France has made a video of the "5 Minute Version of the Wall" synchronizing clips from the movie to the song. It's quite brilliant, actually.

I think it might just be that less people look into this sub-forum and your post was never seen :) Anyway that was clever and a lot less painful than sitting through the original film.

A five-minute version of The Wall that's a little over seven minutes long IS pretty original, I must say. :)

I wasn't really thrilled with this "medley" version of The Wall...and then when it got to "Hey You" and they only used a few lines and totally got them WRONG...well, I just kind of bailed there.

Points for ambition...but the execution kinda blew, in my opinion.

Still had to skip through chunks of it. I think some Floyd fans think that because it looks like it should be art it must therefore be art.

They should have got Terry Gilliam to do the film.

What's interesting is that the recording existed for almost 10 years and then someone in France, who has no relationship whatsoever to the recording, decided to synch up clips from the Wall movie to the "5 Minute Version" BTW, it was always part of the joke that the "5 Minute Version" ran 6:34. It's longer on the video because the French guy added the wall blowing up at the end. <ii>
