Just because the show was filmed doesn't mean that the negatives haven't been lost. My question -- does the band have the film stock in its vault?

Of course they do. But the POINT is that they don't want anything to do with this film or this tour.GeezerButler wrote:Just because the show was filmed doesn't mean that the negatives haven't been lost. My question -- does the band have the film stock in its vault?

I understand that, but I also hope that Gilmour will change his mind.

It is too bad that there won't be a DVD. I seem to be in the minority of enjoying it more than lack of PULSE. I like the crazy editing!

Re: Delicate Sound of Thunder video
Looks like Delicate Sound Of Thunder is coming this spring from Eagle Rock TV. To bad it's only on in SD (WHY?!?!?) with no indication of an official DVD release. But I guess one can assume an official release will officially follow.

I have it on VCD somewhere I think. I wouldn't mind it on a DVD cheesy as it is!

Re: Delicate Sound of Thunder video
It appears now that the Eagle Vision announcement of DSOT is referring to the film streaming in SD from their website. No broadcast. No DVD.

Great news. If they're not going to release the concert on DVD (I still think they eventually will), then I hope they've at least made a more decent edit.

No new edit. No new transfer. It's will be streaming on their website in the hopes of selling it for broadcast.GeezerButler wrote:Great news. If they're not going to release the concert on DVD (I still think they eventually will), then I hope they've at least made a more decent edit.

Re: Delicate Sound of Thunder video
Much as I love some of DSOT, I think I will give this broadcast the swerve. I remember YEARS ago spending quite some time hunting down and eventually purchasing DSOT on VHS at HMV. I was so disappointed with the edit (esp. shredding CN to pieces) that I brought the video back the next day. Not watching the broadcast will be my protest at an appalling edit!

The edit may be the same, but Eagle will surely make a new transfer. The old transfer is of very low quality and not suitable for being televised.RonToon wrote:No new edit. No new transfer.
