Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon and Roger's Member

Post by TheVegetableMan »

Dont know if this has been mentioned here or not but:

I just recently watched that flick THE BANGER SISTERS with Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon.

There's a scene in this flick where they get out a bunch of pictures that they had taken when they were 2 rock groupies in their younger days. As you may have guessed these are photos of all the members of all the rock stars they had the pleasure of boinking.

The scene is of them trying to guess what member belongs to what Rock Star. The first one they pull out they look at and have trouble remembering and the first person Goldie Hawn says is "Roger Waters?"

Turns out to be Jimmy Page of course, but I was wondering what Roger thinks about being brought up in a film that way.

Considering that Pink Floyd are rarely noted for their offstage antics.

I found it kind of funny myself

Too bad they have the wrong member of Pink Floyd mentioned in that film. I'm friendly w/Pamela Des Barres ("I'm With the Band" super-groupie) and she distinctly remembers her 21st birthday where one of her groupie friends brought the lovely (at the time) David Gilmour to the party. David was on his first American tour w/the Floyd at the time. Supposedly the friend brought him along to try to make Pamela jealous of her score. Pamela on the other hand was waiting for Jimmy Page to call but couldn't help but be awed by David's good looks.

The writers made a good choice by saying Jimmy Page. The Zep guys were partiers, Floyd guys weren't so much partiers.

Might depend on the size of the picture.
