Wow, amazing video ... thank-you for bringing to my attention; I will have to look at their other offerings, but if they are half as good as that one then I'll be busy for a while
Well I hope you've had a busy time checking out MGMT's other videos. And as a heads up, if they ever bring out a complete Video DVD then you'll have one of the best music DVDs in your collection!

The only video MTV/VH-1 ever shows is from their first album, but I so love the albums that came after it (To diminishing sales naturally!) so much, that I feel they deserve their own thread on this forum.

I love "Cool Song 2" from their last album, and if Roger or even Polly wrote:
"When they tell you to extend of the vice
Then the prime time mission
Is to choke the statistician
And like the senses that you're lurking behind
While it gnaws right through to your core"

If that was on a Pink Floyd album it'd be one of their greatest albums!

And this is from their second album "Congratulations" and was the video that first impressed twcc:

"Flash Delirium" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvSMp7T2Kes

And this is the video that always gets shown on MTV and VH-1 as if to suggest they were one album wonders!

"Time To Pretend" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9dSYgd5Elk

And this is my favourite video from 2013 "Your Life Is A Lie" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cye-1RP5jso

I take back anything sarcastic I might have said years ago about MGMT on this forum. They are my favourite band of now.

Excellent stuff, and thanks for taking the time to post the details Jimi

I have the same reaction to this band as I did when I first heard The JAMMS aka The KLF back in 1987.

For the records, I particularly like the 'Personal Fest' footage

Next year they return with "Little Dark Age". The title track has been the first single and sounds eighties when it was released a few months ago.
This next track however...

Never thought I'd see it but it's their best video since Flash Delirium! And they seem to be imitating the band of their second album more than the third which I thought was their best yet!

So after thought dead MGMT are returning! I never said they were the new Pink Floyd, I just said I'd hope they'd become as massive as Pink Floyd.
On two songs in I am a definite sale for Little Dark Age in 2018.

I love how whatever that instrument is that plays the main riff in Time To Pretend sounds like from some old Sega game :) (synth?).
