Well, here's my Top 20 favourite albums of 2014. And yes, The Endless River is not on the list. I liked it, but it didn't quite make the cut. Most of the stuff on here is psychedelic or psych related, so I figured this was the best thread to put it in....

3rd Ear Experience – Incredible Good Fortune
Annot Rhul – Leviathan
E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr – Spiralo
Juke – The Chimera’s Tale
La Piramide di Sangue – Sette
Lumerians – Transmissions from Telos Vol. III
Margin – Psychedelic Teatime
Plank – Aphidelity
Polska Radio One – Cosmos Inside
Radar Men from the Moon – Strange Wave Galore
Secret Saucer - Nachvollziehens
Solar Project – Aquarmada
Spacebandits – Anti Matters
The Diaphanoids – LSME
The Grand Astoria – La Belle Epoque
The Green Tambourine Band –Let Yourself Be – Aum
The Lay Llamas – Ostro
The Main Sequence – The Main Sequence
Wax Fang – The Astronaut
White Manna - Come Down Safari

Wow, I just stumbled across this forum while looking for more psychedelic/prog rock. (I recently fell in love with Pink Floyd and then the ensuing musical taste shift of mine has led to an enjoyment of a wide variety of psych/neo-psych/prog.)

This thread has been a huge help in discovering new (for me) music. Thanks for everyone's contributions.

At the moment I'm really digging The Orange Alabester Mushroom, The Green Tambourine Band, and Juke.

My current band, though undergoing personnel shifts, has psychedelic elements;

I have just been listening to the three albums I have to reaquaint myself with them, and think I will pick up their new album Strawberries.

Amazingly, they don't seem to have a wikipedia page! <.8.>

I've gotten massively in to space rock and long form jamming over the past 12 months. Bands like

Ozric Tentacles
Quantum Fantay
Oresund Space Collective
My Brother The Wind
Causa Sui
Hidria Spacefolk
Moonwagon

have really taken my fancy. It's pretty much all instrumental stuff, just great riffs and chords.

Would love some recommendations for more instrumental space rock jams, I've been listening to Mammatus this morning and loving it!

I have recently been introduced to a Belgian band called The Narcotic Daffodils and I quite liked what they have to offer in the psychedelic department.

I love Mammatus! They're one of my favourite bands. Their latest album, 'Sparkling Waters' is a splendid and trippy journey, unexpectedly quite mellow! I think my favourite by them remains 'The Coast Explodes' though. I'm just checking out Kungens Man right now. I hadn't heard of them. Sounds pretty good!

Here's a few more you may want to check out: Earthling Society, The Lay Llamas, Hills, and Moths & Locusts. The latter is a recent discovery of mine. They're from Canada. Influenced by early Pink Floyd and Hawkwind, though not exactly sounding like either. I just did an interview with them for my blog. Their new album 'Helios Rising' is awesome.
