Pink Floyd Exhibition London
Can anyone tell me please what was David Gilmour playing on the looped TV screen by the wave-painted drum kit?

What did it look like? Was it the sound generator? Mini keyboard with a box of tricks?

He was just playing his old battered guitar.

What I mean is what was the song he was playing. It was fantastic and sounded like 2 guitars rather that one - driving bass and lovely chords on top...

That's very interesting. I guess we'll never find out. I'm really bummed out I never got to visit this exhibition while I was in London for a couple of days in Sep.Carolarnold20e00 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2017 6:30 am What I mean is what was the song he was playing. It's still open for a few more days (Sunday) ... but you will need to buy V&A membership (£64 for a year, or £35 if 26 or younger) to get in as all 'regular' tickets are sold out.

I wonder where the exhibition will go next? I should imagine that the success of this one means that other large exhibition spaces would be only too glad to take it on. I see the David Bowie one from 2013 is still on tour; it'll be finishing its run in Barcelona next week.

It's in Dortmund until February. I wonder how long will it stay in Europe?

I guess it will move on and then re-open in location No.4 in or around June/July 2019

I was in Dortmund. Had the chance to meet some people off the German eclipsed forum too. Worth recommending if you haven't seen it yet and can make it.

You have to be quick if you do not want to miss ...
The highlight of the exhibition is a 360° audio-visual installation which plays a remixed version of the song “Comfortably Numb” using innovative AMBEO 3D Audio Technology. It’s a unique 17-channel remix, played through 25 loudspeakers.

Re: Pink Floyd Exhibition London
I must admit I thought the remix was just as trebly as some of the Early Years material, and David's show I saw... what's up with old men not hearing treble properly anymore?!
But it was a great experience nonetheless...

Just over two weeks left to catch the exhibition in Madrid -
MADRID 10 MAY 2019 TO 15 SEPTEMBER 2019 AT SPACE 5.1, IFEMA
The Pink Floyd Exhibition is an audio-visual journey through 50 years of one of the world’s most iconic rock groups, and a rare and exclusive glimpse into the world of Pink Floyd. It features many previously-unseen objects collected over the band’s eclectic history.
The exhibition’s mammoth, described by national British newspapers as “stunning”, “a real feast for the senses” and “almost as good as seeing the band live”, was the most successful exhibition of its kind. The exhibition celebrates Pink Floyd’s place in history as the world’s cultural landscape changed throughout the 1960s and beyond. The band occupied a distinctive experimental space and was the foremost exponent of a psychedelic movement that changed the understanding of music forever, becoming one of the most important groups in contemporary music.
