Don't forget that Hyde park isn't his show - he is just headlining it along with 4 or 5 other artists on the main stage plus a secondary stage of artists doing their thing. There is also other entertainment going on throughout the day. General admission is £70 and Gold circle which is close to the stage is £129 - not too extortionate for a whole day.moodyblue wrote:I couldn't help but have the lyrics to a Roger waters song this week in my head on reading how much one would have to pay to get to the front at Hyde Park.
Yes Roger, I can now see where you were coming from all those years ago.
'I'm alright, keep your hands off of my stack'......did I really see a figure near £250 for a Hyde Park ticket?
It seems to be in vogue now to charge the punters huge fees if they want a decent view of the concert nowadays.
It seems to be getting slightly 'corporate'!
I actually find this outrageous especially when he once penned a song for those 'at the rough end of monetarism' or something? I certainly remember him using that phrase.
Needless to say, I will not be going to Hyde Park. You can shove that where it doesn't shine Roger.

That's one thing about Roger tho, I was at his show yesterday and he blames occident, he blames money, during ''Dogs'' he imitate rich people behaviors.

Me too - Friday gig. I'd already paid out on one of the pre-sales for the Friday gig when the Saturday gig was announced on the morning of the general sale. I would've preferred the Saturday, but what the hell! Also considered Hyde Park, but I'm not sure that the he'll be using the whole stage set-up so I'll give it a miss.Jack Dempsey wrote:Glasgow Hydro for us

Lucky sod. I'll be Hyde Park Gold Circle in the company of a couple of erstwhile NPF'ers. Will be going to see old Robin Dublin too.
