What is "Busker" printed on a vinyl cover?

Post by Sebas »

I have a vinyl of "Dark side of the moon".
On the front of the cover there is a word "Busker" printed in the yellow line of the rainbow.
It is not written, or fine-lined or sticked on.
It seems to be printed together with the entire cover.
Several friends of mine had the same opinion.
I could not find any information about this on internet.
This has been intriguing me for a while and I cannot get it out of mind. ](*,)

I hope some of you can tell me more about this? :D

Cheers,

Sebas

Dear all,

I am so sorry for my stupid mistake of not understanding how to show pictures.
I uploaded the pictures so you can see the word "busker" on the sleeve...

Not familiar with "busker" as shown in your images ... but by an odd coincidence, I see a similar question on discogs ...

It seems my brother has a version of this release (I have asked him on the run-out identifiers: so far I know side A has "SHVL 804 A-10" and side B has "SHVL 804 B-9"). The front of the outer sleeve contains the word "busker" in bold lower case alongside (inside and parallel to) the yellow part at the end of the rainbow. It seems part of the release, not added afterwards. Is anyone familiar with 'Busker'?
I see a copy was sold at auction -

Ah, the question put on Discogs is from my brother.
He has been wondering about it, too. :D

Personally, I love arts on the sleeves of vinyl.
So I have special vinyl frame (that can easily be clicked open and closed) where I can easily change sleeves with regularity.
It's lovely to watch them in the living room.
I have always liked the prism of Dark Side of the Moon.
A CD is too small.
One day I thought it is really time to buy a vinyl. So, coincidentally, I looked at Catawiki.
And there I saw it. A mystery.
I was very, very lucky to have the winning bid.

Now the beautiful sleeve is before my very own eyes in the living room.
My eyes constantly drawn to the ...... "busker".

I don't know why, but it is very, very intriguing.

Strange. Maybe it's a logo/name of the printing house? :smt102
