Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets @ Nob Hill Masonic 03152019

Post by nuraman00 »

Went to the show.

I liked the setlist. Heard things different than I would at a Roger Waters or Brit Floyd show.

Before "The Nile Song", one of the band members said that when they were touring with David Gilmour in 2006, they asked to play that song. David Gilmour said "you better find another band".

"Vegetable Man" was a song that wasn't released until recently. This is the first time, on this tour, it's being played.

Before "Set The Control For The Heart Of The Sun", Nick said that Roger Waters was not good at sharing one thing, and that was that he'd always play the gong. But now, Nick said he got to play it!

Some other highlights were "Green Is The Colour" and "Obscured By Clouds", as well as "Childhood's End". And "Fearless". Songs that are good but not always thought of.

Nice. Too bad the ones with vocals weren't as good, but at least the ones with multiple vocalists were good.

Overall seemed like a good show for you.

Cambridge was good, standard set, good sound and lights ... support act featured Harry Waters. I took a few photographs, did have a few audio recordings but (I recall) the audience decided to clap in time and rather spoilt the effect.

More info (not much tbh) here https://www.neptunepinkfloyd.co.uk/foru ... 60#p629360
