Raving and Drooling (Sheep) always brings back some good memories of seeing them live for the first time - still get a bit of a chill hearing that song crank up as it was the first song I saw them play live

Not sure if 'Moonhead' would qualify as the most emotional Pink Floyd song ? ... however, thanks for the reminder for me to dig out the track on the Continu/ation CD in 'Early Years'.

Rather OD'd on Apollo 11 stuff over the last 24-hours.

For me there can never be just one favorite, so here goes.

1. Take It Back

2. Every version of Learning to Fly especially the cut on Delicate Sound of Thunder with the haunting backing vocals

3. Every version of Comfortably Numb also especially the haunting backing vocals on the cut on Delicate Sound of Thunder

4. One Slip

Especially if I have the temerity to try to sing along. Singing "...and no one kills the children anymore" always makes me choke up a bit.
Agree. For all the criticism I often aim at Roger, that song is stunning. And on the same album, the last time I listened to it I was also affected by "Two Suns in the Sunset" - curious because it's never been a favourite...

From the later career, I nominate two instrumentals:

- Terminal Frost, especially when it builds and that gorgeous saxophone solo suddenly pops up
- Talkin' Hawkin', Durga's backing vocal that echoes her performance of "Great Gig" and always reminds me that she sang "Great Gig" at Rick's funeral... by Rick's request :smt010

From earlier... I'm quite fond of "Stay", especially that choking guitar on the last chorus. Sublime.

Bit of a tossup, can depend on things like where I am in life. Most consistently it's probably Marooned, because of its extremely lonely aesthetic.
I remember when I was in high school I was tasked with creating what our teacher called an "experimental film". I created a piece about loneliness set to "Marooned" that was effective enough for my teacher to ask if I was suffering from any diagnosable depression once the screening was over.
So yeah, I'd say "Marooned"/

It seems like anything from The Wall make me weep like a child that can't have any pudding.

This is easy. Their best song and most emotional is

“Through the fish-eyed lens of tear stained eyes
I can barely define the shape of this moment in time”

THE FINAL CUT!

Such great lyric, melody, :-({|= and guitar solo. The best guitar solo ever made!

Hard to say, as there are so many. But 'Remember a Day' never fails to haunt me.

Other ones (randomly) include Vera, The Final Cut, Coming Back to Life, Sorrow, Time, Wish You were Here, Breathe, Comfortably Numb, Shine On, and Wearing the Inside Out.

Several songs get me emotional depending on my mood at the time. They include When The Tigers Broke Free, The Final Cut, Coming Back to Life and Louder Than Words.

However, I find that more PF solo songs make me emotional, such as Dunroamin, Duncarin, Dunlivin, The Moment of Clarity, What God Wants Part 3, Amused to Death, Wait For Her, Oceans Apart, Faces of Stone, A Boat Lies Waiting and Hidden Fear.

Definitely marooned. Also, High hopes. Both nostalgic and reflective, especially the latter.

Time is good for it too near the end sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older. Ouch.
The guitar solo from echoes from the album is sublime too.
The second keyboard solo in welcome to the machine.
Last but not least, Comfortably numb in its entirety.
Those are the ones that make you crank it up.
Marooned and comfortably numb, if they play in my shuffle, I have to stop listening to music afterwards because there just isn’t any follow up.
I quite like keep talking. Sit in the corner where no one will bother me.
Oh, wearing the inside out. Such a powerful piece. I play that and high hopes on the piano a lot.

Coming back to life is a good one to be happy about loving my wife. So it’s not all sadness lol another happy one is fat old sun. I also like smile.
