On Friday 03 June 2016, Pink Floyd Records began the reintroduction of the Pink Floyd catalogue on vinyl for the first time in over two decades. The first four records were The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, A Saucerful of Secrets, the soundtrack from the film More, and Ummagumma.

Special care was taken to replicate the original packaging. The first batch of releases, mastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman were to be pressed on 180gram vinyl for optimum sound quality.

On this day 4 June 1971 Pink Floyd's six-date European tour commenced in Dusseldorf, West Germany, and ended on 20 June in Rome, Italy. The Rome date marked the last time the band performed Astronomy Dominé live until 1994's The Division Bell tour.

Was this Pink Floyd's '1975 WISH YOU WERE HERE TOUR U.S. CONCERT PROGRAM BOOK' also a work by Gerald Scarfe?

Difficult to give a simple YES/NO as I do not have a copy of the USA tour programme to inspect. However, the comic and the tour programme(s) are generally credited as the work of Storm Thorgerson and Hipgnosis; have just looked in the 'Mind Over Matter' book and there is a short piece confirming this. However, see link below, the inside cover of one of the programmes lists Hipgnosis, Nick Mason, Gerald Scarfe, Paul Stubbs and others as responsible for the booklet.

Enjoy -

My version is from the British winter tour when I first saw them. Its exactly the same as the one used for the 1975 US tour - apart from the price on the front. There were contributions from Gerald and Hipnosis as well as some others

I'v seen this PF's comic Tour book a few times before. It's easy to see that band's drawning in the middle was work by Gealrd Scarfe. It's his style.

As a side note, the catroon part about David Gilmour in the tour book always remind me of Jethro Tull's album 'Too old to rock 'n' roll too young to die!' (1976).

As you all probably know, the inside cover of that album is made as a comic book. It follow an ageing rock star waking up years later from the coma. And, he rides around all the time on his motorbike. It's a quite possible Ian Anderson saw this Pink Floyd comic tour book a year earlier, and got the idea to do an album cover in the same comic form. 8)

That life lines is hilarious because the caricatures don't match up with the profiles. Roger Waters hating Shaw Taylor is hilarious. I never saw the show he presented about crime. And seeing Jude in the credits on other pictures.
Ah, you could have still had that relationship with her, Rog! The photography in Umma Gumma shows the thin ice you were on with her. But you had to cheat on her!

Apparently on this day 8th June 1969 They played the Rex Ballroom in Cambridge at 2.30pm and the Meerpaal Dronten Theater in the Netherlands in the evening. The day before they played - 7th June 1969 - they played the Paradiso in Amsterdam

A quick edit - the two Dutch shows were cancelled due to issues with work permits
