Interesting. Maybe Eric Fletcher Waters is out there somewhere on the footage to be seen? (though he was a driver of an ambulances car). I wonder, did Roger see this video?

The above footage features US troops (you can tell by the shape of the helmets), EFW would have been with the UK troops ... some footage included on the following video shows the British landing on the beaches; there is some overlap as both videos include the same sequences in places.

A definite influence on "Two Suns in the Sunset", and more.

Great to see Rog at Live Aid. He went up to Wembley stadium to see the Who, but I wonder did he watched David G. with Bryan Ferry Band too? 8)

Just watched this again since a very long time('Bouton Rouge' on 24 February 1968), and noticed how short 'Astronomy Domine' is - 3m 21s. Just curious, does enyone knows if this is the shortest version of 'Astronomy Domine' band ever played?

This is amazing! But, in the same time the lack of footage of Pink Floyd live between 73 and 83 is real madness.

It really is quite sickening isn't it. Madness. Perhaps it wasn't the done thing back then and people preferred to pay a shilling and watch it live. ;-)

Roger was of the belief that "you had to be there" - of course, VHS wasn't around so like Live at Pompeii, people would have to see it in the theater and it wouldn't turn a profit. In the early days of cinema, they just threw away all copies of a film after its run in the theaters was over, because they figured everyone had seen it once, so who would want to watch it again?
