Welcome to the forum.
I am drawing a blank as to which film footage you mean. What is happening in the footage? Is it the footage that is projected onto the circular screen on stage?

Re: DSOTM
He probably thinks of the circular screen footage. I don't know which other accompanying the DSOTM movie/footage he could think of?

Re: DSOTM
The films were assembled specifically for their live shows, with Hipgnosis' involvement. The majority of it was taken from existing footage and put together as a collage that very loosely synced up to the music. To release it as a film would require obtaining permission from everyone that owned rights to the source material, which is why only a few have been included in boxed set releases, and they were mainly the ones created from scratch for the '80s and '90s tours.

Yeah, there's some more info in this article:

Although the clips uploaded to youtube are gone...
So also included animations created by Ian Emes, and also footage from surf movie Crystal Voyager to accompany Echoes (apparently a mutual arrangement where the band gave permission for their music to be used in the movie on the basis that they'd have rights to project it on tour)
