One of my favorite Floyd documentaries/collection of interviews, which until this morning I hadn't seen since it originally aired about 20 years ago.
This version seems to be edited a little shorter, as I was looking for it for Rick's comments; right before he says "suddenly The Wall became theater!" he had said something along the lines of, "It didn't matter how I felt about the music..." Oh well.

David doesn't look or sound comfortable in this. At least, to me.
December 22nd: their last gig before Gilmour joined
January 12th: their first gig with Gilmour
January 26th: their first gig without Barrett
February 20th: French TV!
Dave said that Syd would then go to their shows for a while after that and just stare at him.

Both of these (along with other songs on both albums) feature the charcoal grey Farfisa organ that Brian Eno purchased from Pink Floyd's technician, Bill Kelsey. It was used on "Matilda Mother" and others, and appeared in the video for "Paintbox". The lucky person that bought it from Eno found a guitar pick inside, along with a chord progression scribbled on one of the front panels that turned out to be "Saucerful of Secrets". "Always Crashing in the Same Car" was reportedly influenced by The Madcap Laughs album.

Just picking up something from the 'About Face' thread (ironically more a Roger than David connection) -
and 'Sparrows Will Sing' for Marianne in 2014 -

[[ video deleted ]]In 1999, Roger gave Marianne Faithful a song he'd supposedly written in 1968, called "Incarceration of a Flower Child" - notable for containing the same "Do you remember me / how we used to be" line and melody from "Your Possible Pasts". He also apparently played bass and keyboards on the track, but neither part is very...apparent.

Two tracks from Roy Harper's Once (1990), both featuring Gilmour (and one featuring Kate Bush). The title track trailed off into a minute-long piece of similar guitar noises and "One of My Turns"-type synth sounds called "Once in the Middle of Nowhere", but it's...nowhere to be found on YouTube.

Re: Post a Pink Floyd or Related Video
"HQ was recorded, fortuitously enough, at Abbey Road, at the same time as Floyd's sessions for Wish You Were Here. Gilmour is one of many guitarists on the album and it is hard to distinguish him from Chris Spedding, Harper's chief guitarist of the time, who has a very similar style. It was Jenner's idea to use Gilmour, having been much impressed with his playing at Hyde Park. 'It was a pity,' said Jenner, 'that by the time we started recording, Dave had started rehearsing with the Floyd again. Though he'd been playing fantastic lead before, his contact with the Floyd tightened him up and he could only play Floyd-style on the session.' Dave, in fact, plays lead only on the first half of "The Game", which is finished off by Spedding."
