It's not nothing as such - I actually love it as a prelude for the album - but fighting over who did what on it all these years later does seem a little silly.
Yes, great intro to DSOTM. Ridiculous for Waters to later regret giving the credit to Mason.

You know, for a supposedly avowed Socialist whose parents were Communists, he sure does seem to be a greedly little money-grubbing bastard, doesn't he?

Quality over quantity.. let's just say we wouldn't be on here making comments if he hadn't written those "few"

More importantly, when is the release? Does anyone know?

It might not matter in the long run but it certainly speaks to a deep set hypocrisy, which is pretty frustrating (to me, anyway).

It's really odd that Roger brings up Dark Side credits in a public spat about Animals. He had said some time ago that he had assembled "Speak to Me" himself - not Nick Mason - and he also devised and conducted the interviews that resulted in the "voices" throughout the album, and he now claims to have handled the sound effects for "Money" all by himself as well. The clocks on "Time" were not only suggested by Alan Parsons, but also previously recorded and assembled by him for an unrelated project. So Roger didn't just gift a songwriting credit to Nicky, he also credited him with "tape effects" - on every album from Dark Side to The Final Cut, except for The Wall. Strange.

So much hate for Roger on here, despite the fact he is responsible for a significant amount of the music/albums that brought us onto this forum in the first place. Strange.

Same here; we could have a whole thread on Roger's hypocrisy over the years, and it would be a long one. I know he's been fighting for recognition for forty years, but he's made a lot of poor decisions and said a lot of stupid things, and I don't think he will be well remembered. He's now preaching to whatever portion of the choir that will bother to read his autobiography, and if its tone follows his recent rant, it will probably sell as well as Pros and Cons and further undermine his legacy.

It's not at all incidental to someone who expects people to walk their talk.

I have no interest in throwing my money at hypocrites.

Part of why I haven't purchased anything Roger Waters related since the "In The Flesh" DVD and CD.

At least Gilmour sells his possessions and gives the money to charities. All I ever see Waters do is offering to loan his star power to those charities.

Write them a fuckin' check, Rog or sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. Dance monkey, DANCE!!

So much smug virtue signaling from someone with no skin in the game.

Strange.

How's it feel up there on that purity throne? Can you hear us lowly peons way down here?

or maybe people can see thru Roger's claims and see his bullying comments about David and his family and he is just causing issues because he can't get his own way and control the narrative too suit him and his own agenda.

And what "skin in the game" do you have exactly?
