Re: Psychedelic Renegades
I wonder if Syd would even remember the Mick Rock photo shoots? By all acounts he had no interests in his past at all but I wonder if he even remembered stuff like that?

I think that he might well have been aware of the past. There are rumors hat he got upset by people reminding him of his Pop-Star times. So he must have kept some memories deep in his brain.

The signatures do not match other Barrett autographs.

I wonder will mrs Breen ever tell the real story about this signature business.

Re: Psychedelic Renegades
I have a deluxe copy of psycadellic renegades with both syds and Mick Rocks signature.
I bought it for about $3 or $400.. American dollars while syd was still alive.
Now I think it goes for 2 or 3 thousand dollars
Syd didn't sign the actual book itself
Because he had no desire at that time to see photos of his old self
He told Mick Rock he would agree to sign the 320 pages only
If he did not have to lay his eyes on the book
He would sign them only
If they were just pages and not the book itself
He did not want to see the book
So 320 small 'cards' with a fancy border were sent to his house
And the 'cards' were placed in the signature page of the 320 deluxe copies.
Also , by then syd had left his stage name behind
And reverted back to his birth name roger
So syd didn't want to sign it ' syd'
And i imagine Mick didn't want him to sign it roger
So he just signed it 'Barrett"

That makes sense. Although I am less than certain that Rock actually talked to Syd then. I think he talked to the family, at that point, and they acted as intermediaries. Seems I read that somewhere. Based on how he marketed himself regarding the Madcap photos, Rock was a bit of a hustler.

Also ....I disagree with the guy who said
that the autographs in these early first additions are questionable
Even going so far as saying they don't match a typical barrett
Signature
I strongly disagree
The signed ' barrett ' card I have
Looks EXACTLY like barretts signature

Nice pictures.
Does anyone here own an original, maybe even one that was signed by Mr. Barrett?
it's known
the year Syd signed these papers?
