Hi,
This is my first time comment on 'NPF'. A lifetime fan of Floyd... my 14th birthday gift set the course. Dark side... presented and the rest is history. The Floyd saga of disagreement between members and so on very disappointing but great to see members continuing their personal projects. As a matter of interest my query is related to Roger's tour (Which I think was labelled 'The Dark side of the Moon' tour)?
From my very fortunate seat at the concert it was, and still is, the best live music experience I've had the pleasure to enjoy. I enjoyed the 'In the Flesh' tour of 2002 and I can continue to relive that concert as I view the (Portland - Oregon) DVD at leisure.
The mystery (and disappointment) for me is why didn't Roger follow up with a release of the 2007 tour to DVD? It seems to me a concert that has been simply archived and, as a fan, I cannot enjoy watching? I've been wondering since 2007... I suspect a legal issue? Like-minded fans I'm sure agree... We've all funded the band to incredible wealth and yet the band conflict deprives us a small dividend we should be able to enjoy...?

Welcome Peter, and hi from Sydney.
For years after the tours Rog was talking about a possible film called 'Swaddle' which would have highlighted the first set and the encores. DSOTM without DSOTM. My guess was something to do with the projections of the original DSOTM LP (with the Pink Floyd name) might have caused complications and thus the exclusion of the DSOTM set.
I think, sadly, the advent of releasing such a film took a back seat to that of The Wall, Us + Them, and now This is Not a Drill, DSOTM redux etc.

Hi Scott,
Thanks so much for the response. I'm so sorry I haven't been on this site to view your mail. Been a long time! Fair to suggest we won't see the full concert but I remain optimistic we may see some recollection as you've indicated...
Thanks again and take care,
Peter
