Daryl Read EP 13th August 1974?

Post by Sonic Destruction »

Dunno whether this maybe should be in the RoIO chat section, but I am trying to find out about Syd's 1974 sessions.

On "HYGIY? Volume Four", there are several incomplete Syd demos from 1974. One of them is entitled "Boogie #2" (more echo)", and the linear notes make reference to "Daryl Read EP 13th August 1974" as being the source for this track. I can't find any other references anywhere to a person called Daryl Read. Does anyone know what this is all about?

Thanks.

i found a bit of info about him on cduniverse.com. he released an album with ray manzarak of the doors.

"Darryl Read is best known for his work with Crushed Butler and The Crayon Angels in the late 1960's/early 1970's, the former who are now recognised as one of the first ever punk bands. Throughout his career Darryl has also worked with Terence Stamp, Sex Pistols Producer Dave Goodman, various members of T Rex and RPM Records star Jesse Hector!"
