Hi
How can I help?
There are several incorrect statments made about Jokers Wild and I have already made some corrections to Wikkipedia.
Here's one to start with:
Dick Parry never played in Jokers Wild.
As someone already said, Dave Altham played sax (for a few numbers) plus keyboard, prrcussion and and sometimes guitar.
There were several changes and additions to the line up (for various reasons) and I will comment on these next time.
For now ..... hi ...... I'll write soon. I've got a bit of brain rot but will tell you what I can )
John (Johnny) Gordon

The Ballad of Pink FLoyd, this is completely off topic but it looks fine, thanks for your contribution. There is a wiki thread for these sorts of discissions.

So, has anyone got any photos of Jokers Wild?

CORRECTIONS
I was never in Hollerin' Blues.cwta eugene wrote:From bluedolphin's post I mention above:
The History of the band Joker's Wild:
THE HOLLERIN' BLUES John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Syd Barrett (guitar/vocals) various others unknown circa 1962: THE RAMBLERS John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Richard Baker (bass) Chris Marriott (vocals) Albie Prior (guitar) early 60s: THE NEWCOMERS Dave Gilmour (guitar) Ken Waters (vocals) various others unknown 1962-1963: THE RAMBLERS John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Richard Baker (bass) Chris Marriott (vocals) Dave Gilmour (guitar) 1963-1965: JOKERS WILD John Gordon (guitar) Clive Welham (drums) Dave Gilmour (guitar) David Altham (vocals) Tony Sainty (bass) - MARC-OLIVIER
The first 'The Ramblers' Line-up above is correct, the seconed one incorrect. Dave G was never in The Ramblers.
Also .... the name didn't have any punctuation (ie Joker's Wild) and was simply Jokers Wild.

Wow mister Gordon it's an honour to meet you.
Bahh I can't belive this.
Mind if you grant me a short interview for the magazine?
And sorry for saying Dick Parry was in, I thought what David said in The Making Of DSOTM DVD,"I was in a band with Dick in Cambridge, he was sort of... part of..."
So I thought he was in Jokers Wild
