well were not exactly close... And I think its the promoters as well
But fuck... how much am I looking forward to it!
The big question for me will be, "to smoke or not to smoke...?" I'm thinking not.
Oh and apparently there is gonna be a major announcement in the next few days. According to pinkfloydz.com

Who are the ticket vendors? There is nothing on Roger's site yet. That is odd.
Nothing...... http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/search/s ... oger+water

Old Rog don't come cheap. Platinum seats are around $400, gold $300, and silver $200 (Australian$$$$). I guess he doesn't intend losing four hundred thousand pounds on this trip.
Presumably a platinum seat gives you a backstage pass as well as permission to play guitar and duet onstage for a couple of songs, gold will get you close enough to boo (or bootleg) him, while silver gives him permission to spit at you. Bronze seating will get you a tent two kilometres outside the stadium and permission to pick through the litter afterwards for signed guitarpicks.
This ticketting system was the same that persuaded me to give Clapton's tour of Oz a miss (tickets for EC's one NZ gig, at a winery outside Auckland of all the unlikely places, sold out in about half an hour and are now going for platinum prices on net trading sites). I have not come across this ticketting system in NZ, so it will be interesting to see how much cash we will need to shell out to hear Roger sing about money (yes, I know he intended that song to be ironic, but at those prices the irony will be bitter-sweet).
After this rant, I will still do my best to catch him live.
