Double Core?

Post by mosespa »

As no one has stepped forth on Come And See (the last unclaimed title,) I have taken it over.

If no one steps forth to offer to write music for No Heaven And No Hell, I will step up on that one, too.

Here is the track list (in no particular order) with the people claiming each song...

Stars (Simpledumbpilot)

Titanic Drill (2066)

Deep Horizon (Moom)

Magnolia (Neil1567/2 and The Amber Herd)

No Heaven And No Hell (lyrics by cwta eugene/music by Patrik and Swedish Whistler)

Away From The Skies (db_intheflesh)

Silent Victory (Massed Gadgets)

Come And See (mosespa)

Great idea Mosespa. Why not? If poss, could The Amber Herd take Magnolia, please? Anyone who's seen us at the tribute shows would probably agree that that's the sort of acoustic-sounding pastoral thing we'd do.I'm not suggesting that listening to our music is the equivalent of watching paint dry, however, but at least by not suggesting that I've pre-empted anyone else who might! Of course,Magnolia, which kinda hasn't been written yet, may well turn into a 35 minute industrial drill and foghorn workout.Who can say? Just let us know when and where and it will be done.Cheers.

I have updated the initial post with the latest joiners. Does anyone else want to jump in? We still have three "songs" available:

Titanic Drill

Come And See

Stars

As a further suggestion to all involved, it might be fun to pay attention to the "writing credits" on the bogus booklet. If it's a "Gilmour/Waters" credit, make the song melodic and wordy (just for example,) if it's strictily "Gilmour," you can pay all the attention you want to the music and just treat the lyrics as an afterthought (lol,) and if it's just "Waters," make it wordy as hell and treat the music as an afterthought.

Just suggestions...not demands :D

Anyway...three songs left to claim, folks. Who wants to step up?

Looks cool but Im not sure my electro pop dabblings would fit in, perhaps I could come up with something and export it as a midifile for someone else to realign the sounds and give it that Floyd flavour :?

Yeah go on then, I'll take Stars, Ive got the beginnings of something that might be ideal for a piece of music with that title.

Duly noted. Glad to see you jump on board, Stu :D :D

No one has claimed Come And See...so I have claimed it now. If anyone would like to step up and write some music for No Heaven And No Hell, I'll give a few days for you to come forth...if not, I'll grab that, also.

Bump!!

Just in case it's necessary for people to see the updates.

I've not set a deadline for this project yet...I'll play it by ear for awhile.

Hmmm...I'm thinking that New Years Day would be easy for people to remember. The late starters would have some holidays to work on their piece.

I have written and already produced a demo of "Come And See."

New Years Day seems a little TOO soon, actually...but I'll name New Years Day as the time everyone can check in with their progress.

Since no one else has stepped up to write the music for No Heaven And No Hell, I'm going to start preparing some ideas, but I'll still give until November 1st for someone else to step in.

I've already got two songs going...I don't mind taking half of a third, but it would be nice if someone who isn't already on this project could step in.

Yeah, you're right. New Years Day probably is a little too soon. No need to rush this thing. Inspiration will not be bargained with! I'll make sure that I've at least started something by then  I'm the sort of person that needs some kind of deadline!

Hi folks!
I just heard about Double Core from Wez in The Amber Head!
Thanks, Wez! So I had to check it out :-)

The idea is to write song around a title - correct? Or around lyrics?
And it should sound p f?

Is "No Heaven And No Hell" still available?

Cheers! Patrik
