Syd Barrett Stalker video

Have any of you seen the Syd Barrett "Stalker" video? Weird scary stuff!! Is it right for his privacy to be invaded like that?

I have heard of the "stalker video," but I have no desire whatsoever to view it.

I find it extremely disturbing not only that some people are "stalking him on film," but also that some people actually dig this sordid film.

It is one thing to admire an artist and his/her work, and another to have an obssesion with one. It seems to me that the makers and lovers of this film have an obsession almost on a Mark David Chapman-level.

I agree 100% with Real Pink. I never heard of this video and I have no desire at all to view it. LEAVE THE MAN ALONE !

i've seen it. it's very odd and strange. i vieiwed it out of curiousity and it's just really weird. whoever filmed this is strange and sick, i heard it was a user called DANCES

Has anyone thought that syd could have gotten someone to film this for him just to keep him in the public eye? after all royalties are still his main income.

The past hurts Syd and I doubt he would inflict pain upon himself by creating some publicity. Some filthy beast filmed him without his permission. Couldn't resist watching it myself. I know I shouldn't

I haven't seen it, and don't want to. It all has been said before , leave the man alone, let him be.
If he ever wishes to come out in the open, which I doubt very much, then it is up to him to decide when where and how, and that is NOT up to some sick pervert.

Don't know if filming Syd is sick or perverted but it's kind of stupid to say the least.

I think it is exploitative to film someone who is pretty much walking a mental tightrope almost every day,the guy just wants to live his life and be left in peace, this kind of stuff could unsettle him a lot. I would like to see how the person(s) who filmed syd(roger) would react if someone snooped around after them making a secret film, i dont think they would be overly
enthusiastic somehow.

I did not want to seek the video out, but someone uploaded it to me in an email, and out of morbid curiosity I could not resist. When I watched it I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach...sat there with my mouth hanging open, in complete and utter disgusted shock. I felt deeply saddened, this poor innocent man just going for a walk...and adding that creepy music to it was just too much for me to handle. I wish I had never seen that horrid video.

If this is a video-clip of a couple of minutes in length, I've got it -- I would hardly call the person "sick" for filming him - it's just syd walking down a road, looking a bit rotund for a while. Intriguing and saddening.

Yet Another Movie...the Dances on PFCO was not involved with that stalker vid at all. If I were you I'd take what MostHigh said back then as nothing. I know who the person is who first advertised that vid and who promoted it on the net, and that person never called himself Dances.
