Re: The FOOTBALL thread
Same ol' story. They could barely string 2 passes together, hung on in there till making a few moves that every now and again result in a goal and this was one of those few matches where the law of ave. kicked in and some of the shots went in resulting in England now thinking they're the greatest team ever who should jsut be given the trophy by UEFA because they deserve it!

Yes, you got an unfortunate group but your female supporters made some lads very happy It's a pity you didn't through because I'm not convinced by Italy. Of course that could be famous last words..

Re: The FOOTBALL thread
italy are not good. Yeah it was a good result to draw with spain, but spain are notorious slow starters.

Re: The FOOTBALL thread
I'm wondering did someone in England do something to offend the penalty kick gods? Italy were the better team but when it comes to penalties, it's anyone's game. Except when the team happens to be England...

Re: The FOOTBALL thread
Well that was a shock, us getting beaten in a penalty shoot out . At least it keeps my bet going on Italy to win the thing, although that might not survive for too much longer.

Re: The FOOTBALL thread
Surprised Ashley Cole took such a shit penalty. He's done it in big games several times before. Ashley Young should have been taken off instead of Milner. Hodgson should get a load of shit for keeping him on. I'm presuming it was more about getting Walcott on than taking Milner off but he should have left Milner on 'cause he was pretty much doing our best work going forward. They didn't deserve to win and in a way I'm glad 'cause it's been making me puke listening to people, esp. the players themselves, coming out with all kinds of shit about how they believe they're good enough to beat Italy and even win it. They'll never get real about just what a lame team they are and how for some reason otherwise good players just can't get it together when playing for England.

Re: The FOOTBALL thread
Roy Hodgson asked the England team if they were happy to play for pens. They all said 'yes', apart from Rooney who wanted crayons.
