The Mirror Disk Esquire

Does anybody have good pictures of Syd's Mirror Disk Esquire? I personally think this is the coolest looking guitar in history, and I REALLY want one of my own. So I'm going to make one!

What can you tell me about this guitar?

It has mirror disks on it...btw I have over 350 little mirror disks from an art work from 3 or so years ago

Well at least it's not the mad avatar that I had yesterday, thanks to Public Image!

I had a picture of the mirrored guitar...I just can't put my finger on it. One of the Astral Pipers made a replica of it too, but the thread has been archived and I can't get to it!

Gosh i wish i knew myself where to get PROPER mirror disks ..i tried a long while back.. and could not find any suitable ones....

I made a rather long post about his guitars a while ago that had quite a few pictures of it...I'll see if I can find it.

If I remember correctly, the mirrored disks should be made of mylar.

Perhaps mylar...I dunno.

My mirror discs are glass came from an electronics store here called Active Surplus and I remember they came in packages of 5, for use with lasers or something...yes, I emptied many packages, but used those packages in another art work...

Fender should make a limited edition "Syd Barrett" signature edition of their Telecaster Squire with the mirrors all over it. I bet it would sell out in about two seconds.

There have been on-line petitions for this exact request, and there have been hundreds of signatures collected. But, who knows if the request will ever translate into reality.

Really? I don't remember hearing anything about that. That is, unless my booze soaked brain has been playing tricks on me. Jeez...I think I'd drag out my credit card for one of those. Fender really should do it. I think it would be immensely popular. Wow...one of those would look so cool strapped around my neck
