A petrol stn. near where my folks lived had rigged the pumps so customers wern't getting a full ltr. I think he got caught be trading standards and lost the franchise.
As far as I know, doing something like that is a very serious offence. I read too about some publican here who got into big trouble because he was pouring cheap spirits into the bottles of more expensive ones behind the bar.

and these are the kinda people who start mouthing of about greedy bankers and mp's fiddling expenses. Most people'd do it if they felt they could get away with it. That's why I don't like to be humanistic. Can't go wrong with a misanthropic outlook!

In the UK the oil companies and retailers don't make that much relative to the duty and VAT taken by the thieving government to fund the lives of the non-workers.

UK prices average around £1.35 a litre, thank goodness I only have a small economical car !!
