If it's really take 6 then it's a completely different performance that has never been booted. They recorded 4 takes of a stand alone 5 minute version of Interstellar with take 6 being the last one attempted. This tape was thought to have been lost forever. Pretty exiting news if you ask me!

I'm almost certain (and certainly hoping) that this alternate Mathilda Mother is the mythical full version with the "Wandering And Dreaming" jam restored in place of the embarassing "SUNSHINE!" edit.

I am amazingly stoked about this! My favorite Floyd album is finally getting the treatment it deserves. I'm even more excited about the fact that there is an alternate "Matilda Mother" on the 3rd disc. Will it be the one with the Belloq lyrics, the extended jam version, or something else entirely? Who knows? And, oh yeah, I'll bring chips for the party at the Jordan's!
