That's the way to start the week....I'm impressed!

Oh, I'm not starting a week, lol. I'm in the middle of my weekend. Sundays and Mondays, both of the restaurants that I work in are closed; so I'm guaranteed those two days off. It's about two in the morning of Monday and I don't have to do a blasted thing I don't wanna...except laundry.

Also, I'm technically ending my day (here in about another hour or three,) but I do tend to start my days (and weeks) this way whenever possible.

Wow...can't tell I'm buzzin', can ya?

BOTH restaurants are closed...? What do you do when they're both open...run very fast?

Only at the Mexican place.

So the poor sods in the other one suffer....not good enough!

Oh no...the "other place" is one of those places where the atmosphere is more relaxed.

The "other place" allows an hour and a half for a table of two. It's not "turn 'em and burn 'em" like the Mexican place.

The poor sods that only eat it once a week, though...man, I feel sorry for those guys.

So what is this "other place"? I think I've been there once or twice.

The "other place" is a "California Tuscan Italian Ristorante."

I don't know what ANY of that means

It's a place with linen tablecloths, candles, jazz or soul playing over the satellite radio system and it's really easy to run up a tab of a hundred US bucks for two people.

It doesn't open until five pm and I only work lunches at the Mexican place.

Fortunately, they're literally right next door to each other. So when I clock out of the Mexican place, I just walk next door and clock into the other place.

I used to live just around the corner from both of them...but moved before I got hired at the other place.

Yeah, but the grilled Alaskan salmon on toast points topped with caviar melts on your tongue.

And I don't even like fish.
